The interior was comfortable and perfectly fine. There’s a supermarket just across the street, and a lovely swimming lake less than 100m away. It also makes a great base for different mountain hikes.

The apartment has plenty of space and is nice, and the town itself is beautiful. The lake next door is a paid attraction worth spending a few hours at. I'd go around 9:00 a.m.; from 3:00 p.m. entry is free with the Tannengau Card, but it gets very crowded then. During the day, parking can be tricky because the lake is so busy. The apartment is on a main road, so traffic noise made it hard to leave the windows open until late at night. The bathroom has no window, and its fan wasn't working. For anyone cooking instead of eating out, the kitchen could use more work space, though it has all the accessories you need and then some. I'd move or remove the microwave to make room. A few improvements to the details could make the place even better.

The apartment was very clean, well furnished, and had everything we needed, including plenty of towels. The area is great for kids, with a swimming lake and summer toboggan run right in front of the house, and activities are easy to reach by car. The stay felt quite impersonal. In 20 years of visiting Austria, I've come to value warmth and hospitality, but nobody asked whether everything was okay. We didn't meet or see the owners, though the evening before leaving we got a reminder to pay the overnight fee. We had the money with us, but with no chance to meet anyone, the 72 euros for the week is simply added to the accommodation price. Opening the windows in summer is noisy, since the main road runs right past the house. It also felt cramped for two adults and two children, so I think it suits a family with one child better.

So peaceful and idyllic, with lovely romantic trails for walking up to some stunning alpine huts.
