Eggerwirt

The spa area was nice, but the operating hours for some of the saunas were unacceptable. The food, including the so-called four-course menu, wasn’t good enough for the price. You charge a lot for the food quality and variety, and the room and mattress didn’t meet the standard either. That’s why I took off two stars. Thanks for the stay.

The rooms and the place were lovely, and the food was amazing. Staff were very nice, helpful, and accommodating. Vegetarian options weren’t always labeled, for example a fruit cake containing gelatine, but the staff answered all our questions when we asked.

The room has a welcoming seating area and feels comfortably furnished. There are different kinds of units, from double and family rooms to bridal suites, multi-bed rooms, deluxe rooms, superior rooms, and suites. Ours had a minibar, safe, desk, iron, refrigerator, telephone, radio, and television. There was a free bottle of water waiting on arrival. Bathrooms have a separate toilet and come with either a bath or shower, plus a make-up mirror, bathrobe, hairdryer, toiletries, and slippers. Rooms with disabled access, allergy-free rooms, and soundproofing are also available if needed. Hotel Eggerwirt is a four-star hotel in St. Michael im Lungau with everything you’d expect for a wellness holiday. It has received the HolidayCheck Award many times. The region has plenty of highlights, including Krameterhof, Samsunn Wellness Center, Donnerschlucht, and the pilgrimage church of St. Leonhard.

Such a peaceful spot, it lets you properly unwind, body and soul. A lovely way to treat yourself.
