A great hotel and very handy for the hauptbahnhof. Recommended.

The food is pretty good, and the waiters and waitresses are helpful and polite. Parking, though, is a mess on weekdays. If you arrive after 5, you may have to block someone in, or get lucky and find a space. When you check out, the gate won't open until you go to reception and get a coin to let yourself out. Quite a trip.

The beds were really comfortable, and the rooms feel recently renovated. Even the single rooms are roomy enough for two. St. Pölten is a lovely, quiet city, and the hotel is nicely central. My two gripes were that reception isn't on the main floor and breakfast had no hot dishes, unlike what you'd find at other hotels. Still, I liked both the hotel and the city a lot.
