Ferienhaus Elisabeth

The accommodation is just perfect.

The apartment was a great size, in beautiful accommodation and a lovely location. There’s a pool, tennis court, ping pong, grill, sauna, and children’s playground. For kids, they also provide a cot, high chair, and toys in the apartment. The service was pleasant. My main complaint was the bed: it creaked so much that even turning over woke me up. Also, be aware that the landlady doesn’t speak English at all.

In winter, the sauna, pool, and tennis court aren’t available, though there are plenty of places to visit in the region. The hosts are very friendly, almost like grandparents, and the accommodation is top-notch with nothing missing.

We were very disappointed with our stay at Ferienhaus Elisabeth (Windhag 66, 5360, Austria), and definitely wouldn’t recommend it. When we arrived at 4:30 p.m. in daylight, we were shocked by the apartment for two on the ground floor, which is in the attached garage. There was an unpleasant smell, and the bedroom had no window. The only ventilation was a small vent the owner opened for us, but behind it was dirt and mess. The apartment’s only working window faced directly onto the road. It was difficult to breathe in the room and the surroundings felt very uncomfortable, so we didn’t check in and cancelled everything immediately. We were also very upset by the owner’s behavior. He was unpleasant to my partner and verbally abused him, even though we had behaved well throughout and only wanted to settle the situation peacefully. It’s a real shame, since the surroundings looked nice and we’d been looking forward to the stay.
