Hauslhof

There are plenty of shared spots to sit outside, and the view is great. It’s a lovely place with kind owners and a solid breakfast, though it’s around 2 km from the center and the restaurants and shops. The beds were average, a bit too soft for me, but that’s usually a problem for me. I had to take off a star because of the goat smell and the huge pile of dung in front of the building. The parking spaces aren’t marked either, so if two people park badly when you arrive, there may be no room left.

We could walk everywhere, as long as we were up for it. We stayed for three or four days, and the lake views were wonderful. Seeing all sorts of animals made the holiday more fun for the children and the people who live here.

Just perfect.

The accommodation is lovely and sits in a fantastic spot, well suited to families with children. But our experience with the owner was a huge letdown: he was very unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. With children, a warm atmosphere matters, and we found none of that here. Our stay felt very unpleasant, and while we were at the property the holiday wasn’t relaxing at all. We hope this was unusual, since the many positive reviews suggest other guests have had better experiences.
