The basement level has a balcony only 80 cm wide, right beside the asphalt road where cars pass. Our experience was awful. The host had left a 50 Euro cleaning fee out of the quoted price. When we tried to cancel, she argued with us about everything. On arrival, while we were temporarily parked to unload our luggage, she threatened to call the police.

The apartment equipment seemed more than 20 years old, and the beds creaked badly. There was no parking space either. Really poor apartments, wouldn't recommend.

Sautens has restaurants and a supermarket, but feels less touristy than other resorts. We especially valued being close to Hochoetz and Kühtai, with the ski bus stopping just 20 meters from the apartment. The public lot that same distance away always worked for us. We came by car this time, though arriving by train would have been easy, and we'll use the train next time. The apartment itself was simple, clean, spacious, and well located. It's right on the village street and a bit noisy, but that didn't bother us. Great winter holiday, and we'd love to return.
