Selfness & Genuss Hotel Ritzlerhof

Piburger See is about a half-hour walk away, and you can get a yummy Apfelstrudel there. The hotel is dog friendly, and the owners post daily activities in the lobby. It’s also right on the edge of town, so there’s no street noise. The surroundings and interior feel calm and relaxing, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and easy to chat with. We never expected to return to the same place, but Ritzlerhof changed our minds. For us, it’s hands down the best wellness hotel in the area. Every room is great, from the smallest to the senior suites, which even have their own sauna. There’s plenty to choose from at breakfast, including soy and oat milk, lactose-free options, waffles, cereal, salmon, local cheese, and fresh bread. You can ask for omelettes or soft-boiled eggs, too. At breakfast you pick your dinner, with a good variety presented like a five-star meal. The gym has kettlebells, a treadmill, weights, and mats for working off those calories. There’s also a bar in the hotel with a knowledgeable bartender, so there’s no need to go elsewhere.

The rooms and beds were very comfortable, and everything looked new and clean. The people were very nice and the service was good. In summer, there's a nice swimming pool to cool off in. Just be aware that meals are included in the room price, which brought ours to around 300 euros for two people. The food was a letdown for us: you make your own salad from a buffet, and the served meals weren't large or particularly special. It's a good hotel with nice people and rooms, but the food being included in the price is a downside.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay. The spa, indoor pool, and food were all really good. There are daily activities such as hiking and yoga, and skiers can take the shuttle to Oetz.

The beautiful setting, great food, and top-notch facilities made for a wonderful weekend. The staff were very friendly, and we booked a massage too, which I can absolutely recommend.
