We drove nearly four hours for a three-night stay after confirming the booking three times. When we arrived, we asked to pay straight away. The owner showed us a bill with our name clearly written on the receipt, and we paid it. We unpacked and went shopping. When we returned, she met us outside and said we couldn’t stay because she had no reservation for us. We pointed to our name on the paid bill and explained that we’d confirmed the booking. She said we’d spoken to her son, not her, then made us leave. She barely helped us find somewhere else. We were outraged. We hadn’t given her any documents, but our name was clearly on the receipt when we got the bill. She was extremely rude. Later, we called to confront her, and she repeatedly denied knowing our name or having a reservation. The house is also squeezed between a very busy main highway and another street. Never again, best go somewhere else.

I called four times to confirm the reservation and ask about check-in. Everything seemed fine. Then we drove four hours, arrived, unpacked, and went shopping, only to be told we couldn’t stay because the room was already booked by someone else. We said we had booked it and spoken to someone there four times. The reply was that it was her son, and he didn’t know. Why was he answering the phone, then? Outrageous. It was 6 pm and we had to find somewhere else to sleep. Don’t come here. Horrible!

The apartment had everything we needed and we felt very comfortable. Booking was straightforward, though the whole property is often full. The hosts were lovely, and they even bring fresh rolls each day. They also let us invite a few friends over in the evenings when we asked. I’d book here again.

We had a lovely holiday with the Voithofer family. The apartment was so well equipped, and the daily bread delivery had a wide choice. We also really enjoyed our conversations with the family. Thanks again for leaving the ski boot warmers on overnight in midsummer, so we could set off hiking the next day with dry feet.
