Hotel Landgraf

The cakes were okay, but the coffee wasn’t anything special. The staff were unfriendly and seemed not to care about us. They took our order and didn’t come back. When we wanted to order something else, the waiter eventually came over after a long time, and acted as if it was a big favor.

Complete disaster. I bought 3 pieces of cake to take away. The staff were unfriendly, and when I wanted to pay by card, the waiter didn’t show me the amount before I tapped my NFC card. When I asked to see it first, he replied rudely that I’d get the receipt anyway. What kind of service is that? The hazelnut cake was completely rancid and inedible. The Sacher was extremely dry, and I could only eat half. The cheesecake was more like a cream cake. I ate that one, left half the Sacher, and couldn’t manage more than one bite of the hazelnut cake, which I’d been really looking forward to. Definitely try to avoid this Cafe!

The food was very good. We had pumpkin soup, pizza, and lasagna, all tasty and served hot, and the staff were really friendly. Prices also seemed much more reasonable than elsewhere on the main strip. We went twice on two different days, once for drinks and once for diner, and both visits were lovely. Service was great, and the sunny terrace stayed bright until late afternoon, making it a nice spot to watch people passing by.

The restaurant staff seemed stressed and were unfriendly. Lunch menus were on the table, but they weren’t serving lunch yet, and they wouldn’t give us the breakfast menu either. Go somewhere else.
