Edelweiss

An amazing setting for a few vacation days. The service was great, the staff were very friendly, and both the food and wines were excellent.

We had a great stay at Das Edelweiss. The rooms are spacious, breakfast is excellent, the staff are really nice, and the wellness area is great too.

Sorry to leave only three stars, but we came for a wellness weekend and quite a few things could have been better. The sauna only comes on after 2:30 pm, and when we asked at 3, it still wasn't on. There was only one tiny water for everyone, and some more water or an apple would have been welcome. Dinner was okay to good, not excellent. It's set for 6 pm only, which felt very early. We arrived shortly after six and were allowed to come at 6:30, but the five courses then came one after another very quickly. Breakfast finishes at 9:30, also a bit early for a wellness hotel. When we sat a little longer, we were asked to move to another room so they could vacuum right then. The dining hall is the only unrenovated room, and it isn't very cozy to spend time in.

The bus stop is right outside, and the hotel has a heated room for ski storage. Its location is impeccable. We stayed one night too many while skiing for two days. The small spa area was lovely and perfectly adequate, though there could perhaps be a few more loungers or seats. Our room was spacious, the food was wonderful, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and caring. They made us feel like special guests. Most of all, we won't forget the incredibly warm welcome from the owner, Elisabeth. Simply superb, keep it up. We'll definitely be back soon! 👏🏻🥰
