Haus Annette

Annette, I think we’ll be back ☺️ The mountain views were stunning, and the hosts were so friendly and easy to talk to. They were well prepared for a family with young children, who especially loved the big trampoline in front of the house. It’s a half-hour hike to what’s considered “the most beautiful place in Austria,” and the nearest Spar supermarket is only a few minutes away by car.

We’d love to come back next year. We stayed at Haus Annette for semester break, two adults and two children, and had a lovely holiday. The house is easy to reach, with the driveway leading right up to the front. Our apartment was bright, nicely furnished, and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, the hosts were friendly, and the location was quiet with a beautiful view.

We stayed in Annette’s apartment with our two children at the start of October, and the mountain setting was perfect for the hiking we enjoy. The apartment and whole house were clean and well maintained, with more than enough equipment and plenty of comfort for four. We especially appreciated the second toilet with hot water and the south-facing balcony overlooking the mountains. Annette and her family were kind and attentive hosts. Many thanks! :-)

The bread rolls arrived early at the door, fresh and delicious, and we could order them the day before. Annette was always available with hiking tips, and we never needed the car during our week at the end of August and start of September. We were four adults and a dog, and felt right at home. Haus Annette sits in a pleasantly quiet part of elevated Nesslegg, set back from the road so there was no traffic noise. The bus stop is a 1-2 minute walk, and with the Bregenz Guest Card we could travel towards Lech or Dornbirn and start hikes in different places. You could easily come by train and bus for an environmentally friendly trip. A dog day ticket on the bus costs €1.90, while dogs ride the cable cars free; muzzles are required on buses and trains. There are also lovely walks straight from the house. The spacious apartment was very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen, a brand-new and attractive bathroom with toilet, and a separate toilet as well. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the balcony had a magnificent valley and mountain view. There’s a well-equipped children’s playroom in the basement with a foosball table, which we even used one evening. We had a wonderful holiday in the Bregenzerwald and would gladly come again.
