Bödele Alpenhotel

We liked the surrounding area and the restaurant next door, which served fantastic food at a decent price. The location itself is lovely, and the service staff were truly lovely too. Still, I didn’t feel the owner cared much about the guests. Our room had recurring issues, and we seemed to be the only ones without a balcony. Room 14 had a very strange layout. It wasn’t really two rooms, since the divider was only a thin sliding door, which wasn’t ideal for four people. There was no mention that this room lacked a balcony. I’d planned to book through booking.com but booked directly instead. I nearly asked about the balcony, then assumed the rooms had them because all the photos showed balconies. I regret not checking, and would have chosen a balcony room through booking.com. I could still hear cars passing all night because the hotel is right by a road. From the promotional pictures, I’d expected somewhere more secluded in nature. The price was okay and the stay decent, but given the surroundings I really wanted a balcony. I love taking pictures and had to lean around the windows to do it.

The pool was unlike any I’d seen before, in a cool way, and the saunas were very good too. The hotel has an old-fashioned style and sits in beautiful Alpine mountains, with great views from the rooms. Food was included for us and was very good quality, though there were very few choices at each meal.

The views were amazing, and I enjoyed the quiet and peaceful stay. It’s a nice hotel overall. Breakfast was simple and nothing special, but okay for the price.

I’ve enjoyed my stay here so much. The vegan food is amazing, and they take good care of you. With the wonderful view, Bödele Alpen Hotel feels like an ideal place for a holiday, or even a few days to reconnect with yourself, family, and nature. I warmly recommend it. It feels dreamy :)
