The apartment was clean and well equipped, and having a bathroom in each bedroom was comfortable for our group. But our stay was seriously overshadowed by what happened with our privacy. The landlord's mother, who lives in the same building, came into the rented apartment several times while we were out. The landlord said she needed to clear snow from the solar panels, but we could tell she had been in every room, so that explanation didn’t convince us. No one had told us or asked our consent before entering, and it left us feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. When we raised it with the landlord, the response was disappointing: everything was brushed off as a “misunderstanding.” The outstanding tourist tax was also taken from our security deposit without any explanation or effort to clarify it. From our point of view, the apartment’s cleanliness and equipment don’t make up for the unacceptable way our privacy and concerns were handled.
