We enjoyed our time at Schrofenblick Resort and are thinking about coming back next winter. The room was tidy and seemed almost new, and we used the spa every day. Getting the ski bus was easy too, since the stop is right outside the door.

The spa area was great, and Luna restaurant was really nice too. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with friendly staff and rooms equipped with what you need. There's a ski room with ski boxes by the entrance, and the ski bus stop is right in front.

We've now stayed twice at Schrofenblick, in both the Penken and Horberg buildings. The Penken rooms have a newly renovated, fresh Austrian alpine style, while the Horberg apartments keep a classic look and are in very good shape. The kitchen is well equipped, and the sauna is perfectly adequate. Mayrhofen is a reasonable 20-minute walk away, with decent bus connections. This time we had Horberg Room 1 on the basement level. Because the building is on a hillside, the basement apartments have garden access. Our double apartment had a bedroom without a window between the toilet and the living room. It couldn't be aired out and smelled musty. That room also wasn't cleaned as well as the rest: the bed lights showed spiders and cobwebs on the ceiling, plus dust on the bed and frame.

The design and decorations are really nice, and the place feels brand new. The kitchen is fully equipped, the spa is amazing, and there's free parking. The ski bus stops right at the door, and the team is friendly and efficient. My only gripe was the mattress being too soft, though it wasn't that bad.
