Mountains Chalets

We had a lovely family visit and will definitely return. The staff were friendly and ready to help, and our room was cozy, very clean, and thoughtfully arranged for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was tasty and worked well for the children. This is an excellent hotel for families.

The location was a highlight, with a view over the ice skating, which we tried for 10 euro. They only take cash there. Breakfast was very nice, and the staff were lovely and helpful. We had a lovely stay at the mountains hotel, but a few things really let it down. The outdoor pool was closed, apparently for months, and that was one reason I booked, so I was disappointed and think guests should be told. For the price of a night, coffee should be available in the rooms. The bedrooms were far too hot, with no way to turn down the heated towel rails or bathroom floors. There was no room service for food, and the hotel buffet menu wasn't very nice for 45 euro. If the pool were fixed, we'd definitely return.

We come to Seefeld every year and have stayed in different hotels, so we have something to compare this with. The room and hotel were okay, but the food was horrible. The so-called buffet had only a couple of dried-out salads. The à la carte main dishes were very salty and small, and the food seemed to be replated each day. It tasted old and flavorless, and everything was dried out. We're not here for the food, but surely breakfast could at least be done right. I should have listened to the negative reviews and stayed somewhere else.

The location was handy, just a few minutes from the ski school and the village center. The food was decent, if nothing special, and the waiters and waitresses were friendly, though service could be slow. Our room was okay, but the bathroom fan gave off a terrible smell whenever the light switched it on. There was no window, which made that especially unpleasant. The double bed was two singles pushed together and wasn't comfortable; the pillows were very flat, with just one each. At reception, the person on arrival wasn't helpful and didn't seem to know when our room would be ready. She said she'd call but never did. She also said we didn't need to do anything about dinner, but we had to preselect the starter and main course. On New Year's Eve she said there'd be no fireworks, yet we could see them from the hotel for about 30 minutes from midnight. Another day, the water dispensers at the gym and reception were empty for over a day. After I mentioned it, reception said she'd try to refill them when she had time. Getting water from the restaurant or cafe during the day took a long time, and my request seemed to confuse the staff.
