Comfort and wonderful food made this a real pleasure. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxing, and the staff were friendly and professional. Most of all, the cuisine exceeded all my expectations: the dishes were creative, delicious, and presented with great care. A true gastronomic paradise, five stars without hesitation!

The warm atmosphere and impeccable service made our New Year's Eve dinner memorable. Every dish was outstanding, beautifully prepared and full of flavor, and meeting the chef made the evening even more special. We had a wonderful experience and couldn't have asked for more. Can't wait to come back.

The room views were lovely, the breakfast buffet was good, and the flowers on the tables were real. The pool was okay, though small for the number of guests, and you have to go get a fresh towel yourself. The spa upstairs was very nice but also felt undersized for the crowd. Reception staff were decent, though a bit more training would help. The rooms were uncomfortable in several ways. You can hear normal conversation from next door, and the thin wooden corridor doors let noise through. The bathroom and toilet exhaust fan is loud and runs constantly, making it hard to fall asleep. There’s no underfloor heating, just a radiator under the window, so the temperature is hard to regulate and the air gets dry. The lights are cold, too bright and not dimmable, and there’s no light above the bathroom mirror. The basic shower is small and has nowhere to hang the shower head if you want to keep your hair dry instead of using the rain shower. There was no complimentary water or welcome in the room. The beds weren’t very comfortable, and the small separate blankets couldn’t be swapped for a double one. For a hotel like this, you’d think they’d have larger blankets for couples. I guess they’re aiming at couples who don’t have any love left. Service and food didn’t come close to justifying the price, almost 500 a night. We expected a relaxing three-night holiday with courteous treatment, and got none of that. The restaurant staff seemed unhappy at work. One waitress forgot the drinks, then got irritated and arrogant when I corrected her twice. She walked away midway through taking our food order without saying anything. When we asked for a small menu change because my partner is pregnant, she sighed and seemed annoyed. One morning we were turned away because we arrived a few minutes before opening and couldn’t wait at our table. In the lobby, cleaning staff were cursing and shouting to each other. Don’t order a second coffee if you don’t want the woman to get mad at you. The food was acceptable, but not what you’d expect for the price. There was no beef option any evening, and the fish was the cheapest kind. Friday is buffet only, so watch out for that. At breakfast they expect you to choose your dinner, and seemed clearly annoyed when we wanted to keep our options open. There’s also a guest dress code, which felt pretentious given the quality elsewhere. It might be okay at 150 a night. Whatever the price, I expect the same respect and kindness we give others. A smile or a ‘good morning’ costs nothing.

My wife and I had a lovely stay, and the staff made our holiday feel special. Our room, the 406 Chimney suite, was beautifully presented each day. The food was a real highlight. All of it was delicious and made to a very high standard, and the kitchen prepared special dishes for my wife’s dietary needs. I’d noted when booking that she needs gluten-free food, and the staff already knew when we arrived late and went straight to dinner. They brought us to our table with an English menu, even though German is the main language, and explained which courses could be adapted to remove gluten without us needing to repeat the request. Gluten-free bread was placed on the table every day, and there was a small section by the buffet with other gluten-free options. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone, especially people with special dietary requirements. A big thank you to everyone there.
