Breakfast was a highlight for me. I liked that the scrambled eggs were less buttery than at the usual hotel, and the bacon wasn’t as greasy. You could also make your own little pancakes. The location was great, with mountains in view and the city nearby. We had the cheapest double comfort room for two. I know paying more can mean a better room, but the difference felt especially noticeable. The bed and bathroom were good, and the balcony was nice, though the view was of the parking lot rather than the mountains. I asked whether we could move to another room, but was told that wasn’t possible unless we paid to upgrade. At the time I understood, but after rereading the website description, I wasn’t so sure. It said almost all rooms like ours had a northwest view, which I assumed meant the mountains rather than the parking lot. The hotel seemed pretty empty, so I couldn’t understand why we couldn’t switch to another room with the better view at the same level. The room’s style wasn’t my favourite, though that didn’t affect my overall score. The shower door wouldn’t close properly, and water escaped through the gap at floor level, leaving the whole bathroom floor wet. That was annoying. The towels also had stains and weren’t clean. The man at the desk seemed friendly when he greeted us, though sometimes he stared at us, which felt awkward. At breakfast, the staff member who asked for our room number came across as a little rude: she wrote it down and immediately walked off without saying anything. Other staff near the breakfast area stared at us for about five seconds too. It all felt a little weird. It was an okay stay for me. Maybe a pricier room, along with activities like skiing and the sauna, would have made it more pleasant.

The room was spacious, clean, and very nice. The hotel is also well located, just a few minutes from the centre of Seefeld.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and has a lovely rustic feel. It’s on a small hill, so there are wonderful views, and it’s still only 10 minutes from town. We had a fantastic honeymoon in October and already want to come back. There was a room issue because of a mistake by us and our travel agent, not the hotel. As soon as we arrived and realised, the staff did everything they could to sort it out. They went to great lengths to get us the room we wanted and make sure we were happy. They were so helpful and accommodating. The same care went into the food. I’m vegan and gluten free, and once we told the hotel, they made whatever I wanted for dinner suitable. All three courses were delicious every night. They also ordered special breakfast foods for me, so I had a selection each morning alongside the help-yourself breakfast my husband enjoyed. We’ll never forget the holiday. I can’t recommend the hotel enough.

We’ll be back. The only small issues were that the bathroom heating didn’t work properly, so they supplied an electric heater, and the wardrobe hangers felt rather flimsy. Otherwise, this was a top-rated hotel with great staff. The room was beautiful and spacious, with a balcony and mountain view, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great, and the rooms and sauna were clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the amenities were great.
