Aktivhotel Veronika

Seefeld itself is stunning, and the hotel’s location makes it easy to walk anywhere in town. Veronika is lovely, the food at breakfast, cake time and dinner was excellent, and the huge pool was relaxing. The smoking was a major problem for us. The hotel presents itself as family friendly and has childcare and a pool kids can enjoy, but it’s a smoking hotel, with ashtrays in every room. Staff took frequent smoke breaks, sometimes below our room. There’s no AC, so we had to keep the windows open, which made the smoke hard to avoid. Our room was uncomfortably warm in mid-September, even for us coming from South Florida, and a floor fan would have helped. The rooms had just two thin feather pillows. I asked several times for another one, and by the third ask it felt like a huge imposition. Towels were small and thin, and housekeeping mostly changed them and took out the rubbish. Staff also seemed less cheerful when Veronika wasn’t around. We loved Seefeld and plan to return, but with so many hotels in town, we’ll choose one with more of the amenities we missed.

Our Superior room for two was clean and spacious, though a little dated. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was great, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel shuttle is free and makes it easy to get around Seefeld. I’d definitely come back.

The room was adorable, with an Austrian mountain feel, and we had a lovely side view of the mountains. We spent four nights there in August and really enjoyed it. The spa has a pool, sauna and small fitness area, and breakfast was good. Half board was available with a set menu for dinner; we ate there once and liked it. There’s also a cosy bar with occasional live music, and bikes are available to rent for an extra charge, including two e-bikes. I’d absolutely recommend it.

Mike, the hotel’s ski bus driver, was a real highlight. He was friendly, knowledgeable, answered all our questions and was never too busy to help. The hotel runs its own ski bus, which was a great service. The breakfast was fantastic value and easily the best buffet I’ve had, with everything included. Our superior room with balcony was spacious, and the hotel and spa were clean. Staff were friendly too. We stayed at Altivhotel Veronika for a few days with my fiancée and friends. Right in the centre of Seefeld, it’s an easy walk to shops, restaurants, the bus station and train station, so no taxi needed. The spa was great, and we’re planning to return early next year. Thanks for making our first ski trip special.
