Stroblbauernhof

A great holiday spot when you're travelling with little kids!

Being up on the mountain gives you that lovely feeling of being above everything. My son is going through puberty, but he seemed completely content, and my two girls, who have just started school, got to feed the cows yesterday. Today they had a riding lesson across the road for a small fee. The apartment itself is a dream, spotless enough to eat off the floor, and stocked with everything from coffee and linens to a microwave. We also appreciated the binder, which clearly took a lot of care and effort to put together. If you leave the blinds up, the sunrise will wake you. For me, this kind of stay beats a beach holiday. Maybe it's personal taste, but being so close to Salzburg is fantastic for a German. Great value for the money.

They even mailed us a game our son had left behind after the stay, which was such a thoughtful touch. There was also a little surprise waiting on the table when we arrived, and we got to try the fresh milk. The apartment was cozy and clean, with a well-stocked kitchen, and the hosts were great. I'd happily recommend this rental.

Our three kids felt at home on a real farm during the four days we stayed. The tractor ride was a highlight, and we'll all miss it, especially Flecker the cat. Mrs. Stockinger was lovely and answered all our accommodation questions so warmly. Mr. Stockinger's energy and the conversations with him were wonderful too. He's always kind and friendly.
