ALFA Hotel Serfaus

I don't often give top ratings, but this hotel earned one. My bed felt too hard, so they brought a mattress pad without any fuss. Breakfast and dinner were great, and the staff service was excellent. The pool was wonderful too. It's a short walk to the Gondola or town, and the views are stunning.

We all had an amazing week, from the kids to the grandparents. We were a family of six and loved both the accommodation and the food. The cocktail bar and snack time were particular favorites. The rooms were comfy, the location was fabulous, and the food was excellent. Service was outstanding throughout.

We're already planning to book Hotel Alfa again. It was great value for the money, and we had no complaints. The dining was a highlight, with delicious, varied course menus that impressed us every time. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the cleaners kept everything remarkably clean and homey. A new gondola was being built nearby, but it didn't disrupt our stay, with the hotel about 500 meters away.

We spent a week here over Christmas 2023, and everyone at Alfa was warm, welcoming and accommodating. If we didn't live so far away in Australia, we'd be back in a heartbeat. The food was amazing. Dinner was five courses each night, and eight on Christmas Eve. We chose from a menu the evening before, with two options for each course. Kids had two choices for their main and dessert, but could also order from the adult menu. The pool was the kids' favorite, they went in every afternoon after skiing. There are saunas and a gym too, though we didn't use them. The lobby lounge has an electronic games table, plus board and card games to borrow. Our room was very quiet and comfortable for the week, with a magnificent valley and mountain view. It had a kingsize bed in the main room and two singles in the adjoining room. The gondola and ski lockers were a five-minute walk, the bus was three minutes away, and there was a supermarket a few minutes away for snacks. We rented our ski gear from Patscheider at the gondola terminal. There’s a room for skis and boots, but nowhere to hang jackets, which might be an issue if you come back wet. Luckily, we didn't have that problem. Laundry cost €30 for one hotel bag, and there are no laundromats in town. If we'd known, we probably would have packed differently.
