Bischoferhaus

The owners were some of the friendliest people we've met. We stayed a week in apartment 2, which was clean, spacious, and very well equipped. The beds were really comfortable, a big relief. We enjoyed home-cooked meals on the large south / east facing balcony. The kids' playroom downstairs had enough books and toys to keep them busy for a couple of hours. There's also a wellness area, though we didn't use it. I can imagine it would be nice after skiing or snowboarding. The location is very convenient, with the subway station right in front and everything else within walking distance. Parking is available in front of the house or in the garage. The street is quite busy, so there can be some evening noise, but it wasn't really bothersome. The house is well insulated, and closing the windows keeps the noise out.

We stayed for a second time in a lovely, clean apartment for 10 people, but the welcome from the Schalber family was unfriendly after our long drive. We were immediately told what we couldn't do: no noise, no disco, and don't move anything around in the apartment. That's not what we're used to in Austria. Nobody was making a fuss, and everyone was in bed by 9:30 PM every night. There were no young children with us. I emailed after the holiday and got no answer. When we left, she didn't say goodbye, even though I saw her walking around. Strange, isn't it? We paid €6,500.00 for a week and expected a warm welcome. We left the apartment spotlessly clean, so that can't be the issue. It's a shame because the apartment itself is nice, but the lady owner is a bit strange. We weren't allowed to book for 2025 because it was already booked. We think that's an excuse.

We spent 12 nights here with our two children, in a 60 sq m apartment with two bedrooms. It was modern and nicely furnished, and the beds were very comfortable. There were lots of things for kids, plus bread roll delivery, a sauna that was open even in summer, a washer and dryer, locked stroller storage, and a garage depending on how many guests were in the building. The hosts were friendly and pleasant, and could probably meet almost any request without making you feel awkward. We've had quite different experiences elsewhere, where using the sauna could make you feel like you had to apologize. The kitchen had limited storage and workspace because of the building's layout, but we managed fine. A very good place to stay, which we'd happily recommend.
