We spent New Year’s week at Hotel Castel, a perfect base for a winter break. Getting around was easy: the U-Bahn station is very close, and the main ski lifts are a pleasant short walk away. There’s also access to a dedicated ski depot by the lifts, so starting and finishing a day on the slopes was wonderfully easy. After skiing, our comfortable rooms made a warm, inviting place to unwind. The on-site wellness center was a highlight, especially the sauna and steam room. The food stood out too. Christian and his kitchen team served excellent multi-course dinners every night, with impressive quality and variety that made us look forward to dinner each evening. The staff brought a lot of warmth and personal care to our stay. Jozef, Evi, and Sabina deserve a special mention for their kindness, attention, and dedication. They went above and beyond and made the New Year’s holiday feel festive and special. Serfaus is fantastic for a family winter holiday, with varied slopes and a lovely atmosphere. We wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Castel and look forward to returning.

I spent three nights at Castel Hotel with my family, and it was the best hotel stay I’ve ever had. Tirol hotels have high standards, but Castel is above them. The way guests are treated is amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was lovely. I got the impression that any issue could be sorted out. The rooms were great, with amazing mountain views, and there’s an EV charger. The food offered a full range of tastes and was unique. Castel Hotel is in a class of its own, and I recommend staying there for the food, staff, rooms, mountain view, and EV charger.

Getting out for biking or hiking is easy from here, with quick access to the cable car. The staff are always friendly and find a way to handle every request. Breakfast was great too, with fresh bread, juices, and plenty to put together a healthy bowl. We’ll definitely be back. Alina & Thomas

It’s a lovely family-run place. The hotel has enough space to feel relaxed, but still feels personal. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the food was good. A must.
