Villa Pranter

I spent a few days in August 2022 in the holiday apartment at Villa Pranter in Arnbach, Austria, and it was a lovely chance to relax, enjoy nature, and get away from everyday life. The whole property is lovingly cared for down to the last detail by Josef Pranter and his friendly staff. Cleanliness, hospitality, and helpfulness clearly matter here. Josef Pranter gave me a warm, courteous, and helpful welcome, and even had my luggage brought up to the apartment. After I booked, someone kindly offered me a free ride from the train station over the phone. The platform is only a five-minute walk away, but that thoughtful service still deserves five stars. The apartment has a shower bathroom and a spacious kitchen with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, stove, lots of storage, and all the dishes, cutlery, and cookware needed for daily use. Freshly picked flowers on the kitchen table fitted the decor beautifully. There’s a generously sized bedroom with a double bed, two wardrobes, a TV, a few small pieces of furniture, and a cozy seat in the bay window. Wooden floors run throughout, and the many windows keep the rooms bright and airy. Shutters let you darken them. The large balcony, with its summer flowers, was where I enjoyed breakfast each morning. There were plenty of clean towels and bed linens. I also appreciated the electric heating, which lets you switch the radiators on manually with a power adapter, independently of the central heating system, switching, or outdoor temperature. August was sunny and warm, though, so I didn’t need it.
