Iglu-Dorf Kühtai

The igloos are an amazing experience on their own, with so much care put into the details. We also got to go snowshoe hiking and sledding, then had a great fondue dinner. Highly recommend it for families with kids too.

We had a brilliant time. The snowshoe tour was great even for beginners, and the food and drinks were delicious. The location has a wonderful atmosphere and all the amenities we needed. I’d highly recommend this adventure to families, friends, or couples.

We met a lovely couple, and the host and his girlfriend Kim made us feel so welcome. They did everything they could to make the stay comfortable, accommodating, and fun, and really went above and beyond. At the end, they even let all of us pile into their personal vehicle so we didn’t have to trudge through a foot+ of fresh snow with our bags. We probably hadn’t realized what we were getting into by spending a night in an Igloo...lol.

Sleeping in an Igloo was so cosy, and I was comfortable all night. The hosts even brought a cup of tea to my bed in the morning. I had 4 layers on for dinner and hanging out, which worked fine. Listen to the hosts’ advice and take a sauna or hot shower before bed. The place is unique, full of love and fantastic art. The fondue and bread were simple but tasty, and there was a nice drink selection. It’s rustic mountain food, though another option would be good for people who don’t want cheesy food. Breakfast at the nearby hotel was superb. Thanks to Nico and Albert, a really great team and lovely people to meet. Some other guests were cold, but I think they didn’t follow the hosts’ advice. My partner and I slept well.
