Alpina deluxe Nebenhaus Sonnberg

Our kids genuinely had a fantastic time here, even when we adults weren't with them. They've never asked to go to a kids' club before, but they did here. Julia and Nikky were warm, professional, and always happy to welcome the kids. There were plenty of activities, and the whole kids' area looked stunning, modern, and spotless. The club is open from 9am to 9pm, and lunch there is included. We've already booked again for next Christmas. The hotel is right on the slope, with a quick ski down to a major lift. For a 4*S, it was very reasonably priced, and families with older children are catered for too. The package includes breakfast, an afternoon buffet, and a five-course dinner. Breakfast was great, but the evening menu often didn't appeal to us, and the Schnitzel wasn't great. Some soups and mains, including the veal and seabass, were good, but the menu could use a refresh. The older building needs some updating. The kids' area is in the newer building, which also has brand-new rooms. The spa is a little tired, though still clean. There's a new lift from the lower ground floor to the garage, but the single lift serving the rest of the main building is very slow. It fits six people, and at busy times we could wait ten minutes to get on. One more nice extra: on Thursdays they have a little apre hut by the ski room, with free mulled wine and chestnuts. This is probably the best family ski hotel we've experienced, and it's worth every penny for how much the kids enjoyed themselves.

We spent four nights here in August with our one-year-old daughter Sophie. The staff were lovely with her and did everything they could to make all of us happy. Breakfast had a great range and was very good, and the half-board dinners were lovely too. Ahmed at the restaurant was especially on the ball, with great service. A really nice hotel, with excellent service and a superb location. I absolutely recommend it and hope we can come back.

We stayed in the Alpina with our two young children, who especially enjoyed it. Our Apartment deluxe Category F was spacious, modern, and comfortable. The staff were professional, welcoming, and friendly. The lobby, restaurant, and other facilities had plenty of room, so they never felt crowded, though the place was generally busy and had a cheerful atmosphere. The food was great, and the breakfast and salad buffets were generous.

Our daughter loved the hotel, the kids' club, and the mountain. A special thanks to the club team. We were there for a week as a family of three, and the staff were so nice, available, and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing too!
