A really good place in Sölden.

Every room has its own bathroom, which is a big plus, and the apartments can be set up for different numbers of guests. They were clean and centrally located, and the Riml family were especially friendly and hospitable.

The staff were lovely, always friendly and helpful when we had questions. During the week, the trash was emptied and towels changed daily. There’s also a balcony, plenty of closet space, and TVs in both bedrooms as well as the kitchen and living room. The furnishings are mostly very good, and that red couch in the kitchen is a highlight, a real “retirement couch.” You can’t beat the location: right beside the umbrella bar, Fire & Ice, a Spar supermarket, and the Giggijoch cable car. It is noisy because of where it is, though there probably isn’t much to be done about that. A few things could be better. The cushions weren’t comfortable, so I wish I’d brought my own. The shower head is loose and the seals don’t seem very tight. And the can opener, though at least there is one, made even simple cans take far too long to open.

A lovely spot for a ski holiday. The people who run the guesthouse are super nice, and I’m sending them my warmest regards.
