Haus Gstrein is pet friendly, which we really appreciated while traveling with our cat. The room was about 300m from the Gondola, and a lovely winter hiking path leads into the village center. You can also take the bus and be there in a few minutes. The road ends in the valley, so there was no traffic at night and it was very quiet for sleeping. The beds were good, too. The owners are wonderful and incredibly accommodating, and they work hard to make your stay a great experience. Their breakfast buffet was one of the best and most varied we’ve had, with something different each day. Ten stars just for breakfast!

The owners made us feel at home with how welcoming and attentive they were. Our room and the spa were both beautifully kept, and breakfast had everything we wanted. The location is a real highlight: the Hochgurgl cable car valley station is close by, and we could ski the 200 meters to the gondola in the morning and almost all the way back to the ski room in the evening. It's a beautiful house.

We were completely happy with our stay. The family running the place is lovely and knows the area inside out, so they could answer all our questions. Our spacious room had a sofa, its own table, and a great balcony with mountain views. Breakfast was varied and excellent, check-in was quick, and there was plenty of parking. The location works perfectly for hiking, biking, or motorcycling.
