Bring snow chains for the drive up, since the road can be challenging even though it’s regularly ploughed. The apartment is very close to the slopes, and it was modern, spacious enough for five, and exceptionally clean. The hosts communicated clearly before we arrived and throughout the stay.

The Otztal Summer Card came with the stay, which was a big benefit: it covers free use of lifts and bikes, entry to swimming pools and lakes, and Area 47. There’s also lots of space to store bikes and equipment, and at the back entrance we could take off our hiking shoes and use the ski boot dryer to dry them. We spent 12 days of our summer holidays in 2023 at Apart SunAlpin in Sölden. Emanuel and Kathrin-Ann live in the same building, about 5-6 apartments away. They’re very friendly and easy to reach, and communication was quick and professional before booking and during the stay. The apartments are modern and clean.

Sun Alpin felt like a home away from home, and I’d stay there even if I were travelling for business. The owners are very friendly, and the apartments are comfortable, spacious, and well equipped, with a modern look and a hint of traditional Tyrolian style. It sits slightly above Solden and has panoramic views over the town and surrounding mountains.

Everything was fine until checkout. We asked for our 100€ deposit back, but the owner said he would keep it because we had left three bags of trash upstairs. I don’t think that was justified, since the contract said nothing about it and we hadn’t damaged or destroyed anything. The police came and even laughed a little at the owner. I guess he really needed the money. I hope he uses it well.
