Mr Holzschnitzer is a complete star. The building has been beautifully restored, and the apartment is wonderful. It’s much better value than Soelden, even though the ski bus takes only 5-10 minutes. There’s also an excellent restaurant across the road, Brueckenwirt. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
We stayed in January 2020 and found the place warm, welcoming, and recently renovated. Everything was spotless, and the beds were comfortable, with clean, fresh linens and no tears. It matches the photos, is fully equipped, and the host was friendly and helpful. Getting around by car takes about 5 minutes, and the ski bus stops 50 meters from the front door. Parking is tight, with room for literally four cars, but manageable since no other rooms are available to rent. I'd happily recommend it.
We've been here twice now. The location works well if you're driving. On our second visit, we brought a small "Veterok" heater.
We had a very friendly conversation and booked for next year. I'll share more information after that stay.
