The hotel may be renovated and in a good spot for skiing, but our experience was deeply disappointing. We were a group of 18, staying seven nights, and each family paid around €5,000. After more than ten years of ski holidays, this was by far our worst hotel stay. The bathroom has high-end brands like Axor and Villeroy & Boch, but that didn't make up for how poorly guests were treated. Sleep was awful. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and the replacements were identical. The mattress sagged in the middle, even though I weigh under 65 kg. The air was so dry that my eyes and nose dried out, and constant traffic noise made it hard to rest. Broken slippers were never replaced, and basic things like hand or body cream were missing. The restaurant was the worst part. Breakfast was mediocre, three out of five at best, with empty trays, few refills, and indifferent service. I politely asked for unprocessed ham for medical diet reasons but was given salami. When I explained I couldn't eat it, the waitress rolled her eyes and seemed annoyed. On our last morning, waiters started clearing my table while I was still eating. When I calmly asked them to stop, one called me rude. That's unacceptable treatment of a paying guest. Of the seven dinners, only two were acceptable. The main courses often seemed made as cheaply as possible and were nearly inedible. Service felt careless and untrained. One waiter spilled oil on my child's clothes and didn't apologize. Drinks, even water, were overpriced, with glasses starting around €11. People who had prepaid for half board seemed to be treated like captives, while outside restaurant guests got better treatment. One evening, we were told the kitchen was closed at 8 pm, even though dinner was advertised until 9 pm, and nobody had warned us. We won't return, and can't recommend this hotel to anyone who values comfort, professionalism, and basic respect.

The service ruined the visit. Our waiter was unfriendly from the start and got rude and disrespectful when we chose not to tip. That's completely unprofessional. The food was okay but nothing special, and the drinks were honestly bad. Both the Hugo and Aperol Spritz tasted extremely weak and bland. There are many better places in Sölden worth your time and money. With this quality and attitude, we definitely won't come back.

It was very warm inside, which was the only downside. Otherwise, we had a positive experience. The restaurant felt modern, very clean, and exclusive, the service was good, and we enjoyed the food.

Book ahead if you're coming in peak season. Finding a table spontaneously is nearly impossible, and parking is limited for such a large hotel and restaurant, so you may need to leave the car farther away. We had an excellent dinner, with very fresh meat and fish. Portions seemed quite large, maybe by Austrian standards, so we just had drinks and a main dish. I've read complaints about the service, but our view is that the staff's manner is typical for Europe, less customer-focused than in the US or Japan, though nothing unusual.

We were hungry after getting off the 007 glacier bahn, and the staff kindly fit us in close to the kitchen's break time. We really appreciated the food and friendly service.
