Gurglerhof

The shower was fine and the beds were good, though the duvets were very thin, which may come down to personal preference. Most of the stay was disappointing. We booked expecting a living area and a separate dining area, but they turned out to be the same tiny space. The dining area was cramped and uncomfortable, and the straight chairs were no good for relaxing after skiing. Hygiene and cleaning were poor: the sticky laminate floor, stained carpets, and no hand sanitizer in the toilet, bathroom, or kitchen. There was nothing to clean the toilet or kitchen floor during the week, and I don’t think the towels would have been changed either. A bedroom curtain had fallen down, making it difficult to close. Merie, the host, wasn’t very friendly. For the price, the quality was poor.

The apartment was cozy and clean, with a fully equipped kitchen, and the staff were very helpful. It’s about 400m from the Gaislachkogel cable car, just behind the bus station, and around 500m from the center of Sölden.

We enjoyed our stay, though the sauna was out of order while we were there. They didn’t provide anything to replace it.

A wonderful place to stay, with a location just right by the ski slopes.
