The main drawback is that check-in and check-out happen at Hotel Bäckelar Wirt across town, so you have to drag your things over there. On the plus side, you get a guest card that makes public transport free. There’s a ski storage room for your equipment, and the hotel is about a five-minute walk from the gondola. Breakfast is delicious, and the host is incredibly friendly, always smiling and ready to help. You also get free access to the pool and wellness area at Freizeit Arena.

The second-floor apartment has four bedrooms, a big living room, dining space and a spacious kitchen. It’s right next to the ski lift, and cleaning was excellent. Downstairs, the breakfast buffet was served with a friendly welcome, tasty warm bread and all the other breakfast dishes. Hotel Japanushe’s dining restaurant is very good, too.

The room and location were great, but breakfast was lousy. The cleaners were noisy in the hallways as early as 7:30 am.

The room was nice and the location very good, but vacuuming in the hallway started at 6:30 every morning. The noise carried up the staircase to the rooms and made it really hard to sleep. I complained each morning for three days before they finally stopped. It seems silly to wake guests an hour before breakfast starts with such a loud vacuum.

The food was great, and the nearest gondola wasn’t too far away. The rooms were fine and stayed clean throughout. It was just what I expected, nothing more and nothing less.
