The service was very poor. We arrived at the agreed time, but my children and I were left waiting downstairs for three hours. The staff wouldn’t help get the room cleaned early while they were resting in it, and instead shut the door in our faces. They had lunch. There was no sense of service at all.

The room itself was great, but the location wasn’t. What really upset me was the bill. Check24 listed the room at €290, and I expected to pay the usual tourist tax on site. But when we got to reception at around 6:30 pm, they added another €80 for final cleaning of a 37 sq m apartment. This fee hadn’t been disclosed beforehand. When I asked, they said the issue with third-party providers was known, but it wasn’t their fault and I had to pay the cleaning charge separately. The rest was “not their problem.” That’s poor service when they already know about the issue. They could include the overpriced cleaning in the room rate, but then the advertised price probably wouldn’t look as appealing. I’ll complain to Check24, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll contact them directly. Unacceptable.

There’s a ski storage room for winter stays, and the apartments have a shared sauna and steam room for relaxing. The units are modern, with smart TVs, Wi-Fi, and fully equipped kitchens. Dogs are welcome too. The bread delivery service is well worth using and saves time in the morning. A free shuttle is no more than a 10-minute walk away, making it quick and easy to get back to the center of Sölden.

We came to Sölden for the Ötztal Cycle Marathon, and the accommodation worked out wonderfully. The apartment was beautifully furnished and spacious, and very close to the start. The lift also gets you down the mountain to Sölden quickly.
