Pension Andreas

Rooms were clean and breakfast was exceptional. The place is uphill, but there's a free shuttle from Giggijochbahn until 18.

Andreas made us feel at home straight away and explained everything thoroughly. There’s plenty of parking, though a car isn't really needed with the morning buses to Giggijoch and afternoon rides back. A free ski and boot storage spot at the bottom of the slopes is included for the whole stay, at the Sports4You skishop. The breakfast was very nice and had enough variety to switch things up, even though it was the same each day. The view from the breakfast table was lovely in both good and bad weather. Rooms were clean and tidy, with a fridge, small TV, good shower, and daily cleaning. The free sauna, steam cave, and infrared cabin are available from 16.00 to 20.00 every day. A few things to know: the walk up or down is steep if you skip the bus, and the sauna runs at 85-95°C, which is hotter than my Finnish friends' sauna at 70-75°C. Andreas' mother seemed a bit cranky, though she may have been sick that first day. The interior is dated, which could be a plus if that's your taste. Wi-Fi was slow and sometimes cut out completely. It worked a little better closer to the door, but that's not how Wi-Fi should be in 2023, in my humble opinion. The beds are separate, so cuddling's off the table! All in all, we had a very nice stay. The downsides didn't bother me much, but I wanted to give the full picture. I'd definitely rent here again if I came to Sölden.

It felt like a home away from home. The service was outstanding: after I had left, they went out of their way to help send my suitcase to Italy. Breakfast was outstanding too. This is a wonderful pension or BnB in Sölden, away from the main drag, so it's quieter. Without a car, you depend on an 8-minute walk or the 54 bus, which runs four times in the morning and can take you with your skis and boots.

There wasn't a double bed option, and even pushing the bed frames together didn't leave room to cuddle. So I had a full 50 percent of the bed to myself for the week! Still, we really liked staying here, and the included breakfast was splendid. Our room also had a really nice balcony.
