It was lovely and quiet at night, and the view from my room was great. The internet was very fast, and I liked having a big TV in the room. I enjoyed my stay a lot. Botenwirt has been much better since the new owner took over two months ago. I’d highly recommend it and hope to return soon.

The owner, or manager, was the worst part of the Botenwirt. He seemed not to care about guests or make any effort to bring them back. He was by far the rudest hotel owner I’ve met, and the way he treated his own staff was even worse. I won’t waste time describing it further. Avoid this place unless there’s truly nowhere else to stay. Your car might still be a better option. There’s no ski room and hardly anywhere to spend time with friends. The beds were very uncomfortable, with a mattress that seemed like it would cost about 25 EUR at Ikea. The room went from terribly hot in the afternoon to too cold at night, and the blankets weren’t enough to keep you warm. Breakfast was extremely limited. The ingredients would cost about 1 EUR at the local shop, and there weren’t even vegetables, let alone eggs or sausage. Dinner was a little better, but it depended heavily on the day. One time I got pasta drowning in watery sauce with hardly any meat, and several other meals were dried out.
