We arrived in perfect weather and were welcomed by a wonderful sense of peace. I spent four lovely nights at this farmhouse during the hottest part of the year. Our guest room on the first floor of the main building was far bigger than it looked in the photos, and surprisingly comfortable and well equipped. On that first night, we opened the window and just stared at the mountains from bed. Every morning, sunlight filled the living room, where breakfast was served by the mother as if time had stopped. It brought back childhood memories and gave us a peaceful feeling that came back each day. Breakfast was lovingly varied, with vegetables from their own garden. I nearly kept quiet about this hidden gem, but the Appesbacher family deserve the praise.
