The apartment was a lovely place for our family week in February 2020. It’s clean, modern, and nicely decorated, with two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a four-burner electric stove, oven, separate microwave, and small dishwasher. There’s also a heated room for skis, snowboards, and boots. If you need anything else, just ask the hosts, who are really nice and helpful. Hinterburgschwaig hof is high up the mountain, so the narrow, winding road may require snow chains in winter. Bring them and know how to use them. The upside is the stunning view from the apartment. We loved our stay. Peter and Annemarie.

The owners made us feel so welcome, and we’d be happy to return. It’s a peaceful place above St. Johann, with fresh country air and beautiful views of the mountains and valley. The apartment is spacious, clean, tastefully furnished, and fully equipped. Kids can enjoy the trampoline and table football, while parents can find quiet corners among the greenery. For trips around the area, we recommend the Salzburg Land Card. It covers free entry to nearby outdoor pools, thermal baths, museums, and cable car rides.
