The balcony has a beautiful view of the mountains, and the room was pleasantly warm. It’s a straightforward, no-frills guesthouse, but very clean, with a helpful and genuine hostess. Breakfast was good and the price was good value. We’d gladly stay again!

The location is very handy, close to the town center, ski slopes, and a bus stop. Breakfast was good and sufficient for a guesthouse, and the morning staff were especially friendly. But I don’t think the price matches the experience, so I wouldn’t recommend it overall. If you only need simple, centrally located accommodation, it could still work. We expected a family-run guesthouse, and at first glance that’s what it seemed to be. The rooms are functional and generally adequate, though the house feels neglected in places. We found used glasses from the previous guests, and the room wasn’t properly clean. Worse, there was mold on the exterior wall. I’m allergic, so after the first night we told the owners I didn’t want to stay another night. They let us change rooms without a problem, but still charged the full price. The owner said he hadn’t known about the mold. I’d suggest he train and supervise the housekeeping staff better. I can’t recommend the half-board. Dinner was a rushed, impersonal three-course meal with no choice at all. We’d have been better off at one of the many restaurants in town. In the evening, the staff showed little hospitality or customer service, and we didn’t feel comfortable. Also, there’s no ski storage room, so everything has to go in the car each time. Getting into cold ski boots in the morning isn’t pleasant.

The owner was very friendly and looked after guests well, suggesting excursions and explaining how to get there. That kind of help feels rare these days. The room was nicely furnished, with a bottle of water and chocolate on the pillow, and it was quiet despite being right by the pedestrian zone. Breakfast was very good: cold cuts, cheese, butter, margarine, jam, honey, muesli, fruit juices, soft-boiled eggs, and, most importantly, good hot coffee. Tea was available too 😉. I’d come back in a heartbeat. The only downside was that the holiday passed too quickly. A lovely little guesthouse.

There wasn’t much time for guests. At arrival, no staff member was there, and after the answering machine played, it only gave the owner’s phone number. The message said, “...I’ll be back later, please push open the door, it’s open for guests (and everyone else too), the key is on the counter.” It felt like a quick check-in and then the owner was off again. The breakfast we’d booked was alright, though the cheese seemed past its prime, and it was cleared away very early. As for the room, see photos. The smoke detector was missing (it’s mandatory, see OiB Guideline 2). The room was clean and warm, though, and the Wi-Fi worked.
