Romantik Aparthotel Sonnleitn

Christian was incredibly helpful and quick to respond, and shared useful tips about local ski spots. He made sure everything went smoothly. We spent a week skiing, and the mountain views from the condo were stunning, especially in the mornings. The place is cozy and beautifully decorated, with modern amenities and everything we needed. Cooking and unwinding after a day on the slopes were easy. I was really impressed, and would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a top-notch stay in the area.

The huge balcony was great for breakfast and happy hour, and we loved the mountain views. The hotel’s location made it easy to walk to the cable car, shops, and restaurants in St. Johann. Christian and his family were kind and responsive, and we had a lovely time. We’ll be back on our next trip to Austria. Our three-bedroom layout with a bathtub worked really well for our family, with kids aged 5 and 2. They had a great time swimming in the pool, jumping on the trampoline, playing table tennis, and running around in the yard.

We’ve been coming to Aparthotel Sonnleitn for 15 years, and it feels like a second home. Family Meier have become friends over all those visits. We’ve been to St. Johann in Tirol many times, mostly for January ski season, but sometimes for summer hikes and the famous Knödelfest in September. We’ve tried several Sonnleitn rooms over the years. As a couple, we usually picked the smallest apartment, the “Sport” room, which was just right for two adults. For a special trip in January 2023, celebrating two milestone birthdays, we booked the “Kaiser Residenz” penthouse for five adults and one teenager. It had three bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom and shower. After ski days, we’d gather in the roomy open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area to cook, share drinks, and play cards. The wrap-around porch has priceless views of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range. We’ll treasure the photos and memories from that trip. Our jobs will take us far from Austria next year, but we’re already dreaming about another winter in St. Johann and at Hotel Sonnleitn. Auf Wiedersehen!

We’ve stayed here twice for downhill skiing, and we’re now planning a hiking trip for summer 2022. We’ve been waiting for the chance to see the Meier family again and enjoy their hospitality. Great service and a lovely place to stay are why I’d give it five stars.
