The service staff were friendly, so that's where my four stars go. The bathroom amenities need an update, especially the soap and shampoo/conditioner, and the outdoor bar looks sad and could use proper renovation. Breakfast should have more beef cold cuts for guests who can't eat pork. This doesn't currently feel like a four-star hotel to me, more like a bed and breakfast.

We booked at the last minute, about two hours before arriving at night, and were so glad we did. Herr Markus at reception upgraded us and made sure everything went smoothly, so we felt very well looked after. The hotel is in a great location and has its own access to beautiful Wolfgangsee. Thanks to Herr Markus and the rest of the team, we'll be back!

The restaurant was dirty, with food left over from the previous day's meal on the floor, and the food itself was indecent. We also made the mistake of adding “half pension” and were charged an outrageous amount for a so-called four-course meal that seemed to be made from frozen food. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The prices are completely out of line with the very low, outdated quality. The decor is hideous, and there is no air conditioning in the rooms.
