The staff were very kind, and the old hotel was quite nice.

We stopped here yesterday during our cycling tour, seven of us in total. Before coming in, we checked whether they were open and were told yes. We were the only people in the dining room, but the owners chatted at the bar for ten minutes while ignoring us completely. Nobody greeted us or even acknowledged that we’d sat down, and no menus were brought over. We decided to leave and find somewhere we’d feel welcome. As we were getting our bikes ready, the landlady came out shouting and demanded that we come back inside because she was now ready to serve and feed us. She was angry and unpleasant, and got even more so when we quietly said no. Her anger shook us. That kind of reaction didn’t seem normal at all, especially from someone running a guest house. The worst Austrian hospitality we’ve ever experienced.

It’s well placed for skiing, about an 8-minute drive to kreischbourg, and the owner speaks English. We loved the guesthouse. The owners are really friendly and clearly put their heart into it, so you get a warm welcome. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The rooms were clean, and the food was delicious, but the drinks were expensive. There’s no glass in the room, and the furniture is old. The lady at breakfast was very unfriendly, though the man was kind :)
