Hotel Schwarzbrunn Superior

The waiters were so nice and friendly, and I really enjoyed the hotel. The pool was good for swimming and the food was delicious. Valentine's Day was lovely too, with a performance and presents for the women and girls. I liked it a lot and recommend this hotel to everyone!😀

We stayed for 3 nights in a large family room, which worked well for our two children because they had their own bedroom upstairs. The room was traditional in style but clean and everything worked well. The hotel also has modern rooms. The food was excellent. Breakfast and lunch were buffet style, and dinner had buffet starters plus a choice of 3 mains. All the mains we tried were excellent, with meat, fish, vegetarian, and vegan options. If none of those appeal, there are good choices on the buffet too. They had good options for kids as well. There's an indoor pool for children and a separate adults-only pool. The hotel also has direct access to the local public pool, which has a slide and was a big hit with our kids. It's heated by the sun, so perhaps it's not always in use. Staff were friendly and helpful. There's a large spa, though we didn't use it. Really nice hotel.

We took a 4 day trip at the end of February. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the food was good. The spa and pool area looked new and well maintained, and it's one of the best I've seen. For skiing, there's a run right next to the hotel, but the season had ended by the time we arrived. We had to take a 20 minute taxi ride to pertisau, where there was more snow. The taxi cost €55 one way, so be prepared for that.

We booked as a couple through the SecretEscapes site, with early check in and late check out, and stayed 4 nights in November. We got an upgrade to a suite, so our impression of the rooms may be biased, but the suite and its view were amazing. The spa is fantastic, and the staff worked hard to make us feel welcome and looked after. Most weren't Austrian/ German. The bar team was especially good. Sergio ran the bar, and the drinks were the HIGHEST quality. For a 4* all in concept hotel, that was unheard of. The staff were talented and hardworking, and should be cherished. The all in concept was easy to enjoy, with clear time limits for included drinks, until 22.30, but no extra fees for drinks or cocktails and no shit quality drinks. There was a good selection if wines, fantastic cocktails, and high quality drinks, including spirits in the 30-40 eur range. There were lots of included activities, like guided tours and evening walks with a private ORGAN concert in a beautiful rococo church. The hotel even has an in-house cinema. The movies are semi old DVDs, but still great, and they make fresh popcorn. Food was what worried us most after seeing the negative reviews. I mostly disagree with them. It wasn't 5* or Michelin level, but it definitely wasn't terrible. You could eat nicely without being blown away. Unless being blown away by the gastronomy is what you're after, I wouldn't avoid this place. I'd come again!
