Ferienhaus am Lechweg

The ski bus stop is about 200 meters away, and the holiday home is fairly close to the Warth ski area. The host is very friendly, the house is clean and authentic, and breakfast was simple but enough.

The room and breakfast were okay during our hike across the Alps, but the evening was awful. We came back from dinner around 8 pm to find the garden in front of our balcony extremely noisy. After an hour of loud talking and children screaming hysterically, around 9 pm we said we were on vacation and asked if they could keep it down. We were snapped at and told it was their home and they were having a family celebration. The next morning I tried to talk it over with the owner, but he wouldn’t speak to us. He made a snide remark that we were lucky, because if it were up to his wife, apparently the same person who had snapped at us, we would have been thrown out the night before. I’ve never experienced such a low-class attitude. It felt like guests were only there to pay, with no sense of welcome at all. I would never stay here again.

A basic room with its own shower, while the toilet is across the hall. Breakfast was the worst I’ve had in a long time: the cheapest rolls, sausage and cheese on a plate, plus butter and jam. No fruit, vegetables, muesli or eggs.

The hosts were very friendly and attentive, and breakfast was good. It’s about 1.2 km from Steeg, a handy starting point for cycling along the Lech River, and good value for money. The room was simple and clean, with a lovely balcony view. There’s a shower in the room and a toilet in the hallway.
