After a day on the slopes, it was bliss to come back to the JUP Luxury Boutique Chalet. It’s beautifully designed, with a cozy Alpine feel and all the modern comforts. Everything was spotless, and the care put into the details really showed. The chalet is well located for nearby ski areas. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating, making sure we had what we needed. We had an amazing ski trip and would highly recommend it for a memorable getaway.

Our group of eight friends stayed in the chalet for a week. The mix of rustic timber and luxury technology stood out as soon as we walked in. The Loxone smart home deserves a mention: speakers throughout the rooms and outside, apart from the bedrooms, let us control the music centrally. The ski boot heater is just inside the entrance. There’s a carport beside the chalet with space for two larger cars, plus 230V and high-voltage connections for charging electric cars. The kitchen has pretty much everything, including a dishwasher and a bean-fed filter coffee machine. Eight to ten people can sit comfortably in the home cinema, which also has a fireTV-Stick. The private sauna fits six or seven and is just beyond the first-floor bathroom on the ground level. Ulrich, our host, was very friendly and always reachable. He responded flexibly to our requests, and even drove us to the ski lifts regularly and picked us up. A couple of things to keep in mind: because of the old building and historic preservation, the ceilings are lower than usual, and even people who aren’t very tall may have to duck under beams. The induction stove seemed to have a mind of its own and cost us a lot of time and effort. The stay isn’t recommended for wheelchair users or people with mobility impairments. All in all, we had a wonderful time in the chalet and would recommend a holiday here.

The old farmhouse has a rich history, and its low ceilings and some low door frames are part of its charm. The blend of old and new works beautifully, and the house has been done with so much love and creativity. It’s truly one of a kind. Getting there in spring and summer is easy, and the mountain views are breathtaking. We were four adults and three children. Everyone found time to themselves, while the kids had lots of chances to play outside in nature. There are plenty of activities around, and even when the weather isn’t cooperating, the house has lots of places to relax or find a quiet corner. The sauna is welcoming, the beds were comfortable, and everything was spotless. Uli and his wife live just across the road, so they’re close by if you need anything. We felt very comfortable and would happily come back anytime. It was hard to leave.

The bedrooms are spacious, the beds and pillows are comfortable, the kitchen is almost fully equipped, and the two bathrooms are roomy. The sauna is excellent too. Outside, the terrace is sheltered from the wind and partly covered. We enjoyed lounging on the outdoor furniture and grass loungers while taking in the mountain views. The nearby pass road can get annoying, though, with engine noise from groups of motorcyclists and sports cars. The house is easy to find, and the owners live practically opposite. After letting them know in advance, check-in was simple, and they gave us a very friendly, informative welcome. The house and rooms match the photos. Though fully renovated, it’s several centuries old, with several levels and an awkward layout. Some rooms have low ceilings, so you need to duck. It made us feel a bit like the wizard from Lord of the Rings in Bibo Beutlin’s house. The basement lounge, also called the Herrenzimmer, or home cinema, is a real highlight for cosy evenings. In May, though, it was only a rather damp 18 degrees down there, so some kind of infrared heater would have helped. Even with blankets, the cold took away from the movie experience. It’s a smart home, with centrally controlled lights and different lighting setups in each room. There’s also an audio system with speakers throughout the house and on the terrace that can be controlled separately. It’s fun if you’re into tech, but could be annoying for some, especially when things don’t work quite right yet. Still, we had a lovely stay in a very unusual house.

The area is amazing, and the cabin is pure luxury with something for everyone. I’ve never seen a cabin this beautiful! We had a fantastic weekend, though we only booked one night, which was the one downside. I absolutely recommend it and hope to see you again next time!
