Allegria Resort Stegersbach

The grounds look really good, and whoever handled the landscaping clearly did a great job. Breakfast and dinner were also very good. Lunch was less appealing: getting there meant a walk through the maze connecting this hotel to another, and the meal itself was a letdown. Half board would have suited us better. The pool arrangement on the last day caught us out. The regular pool near reception wasn’t included, only the family pool by the other building, near the disappointing lunch spot. That’s a long way for someone who’s 90 or has trouble walking. We paid €14 per person so one person could use the stairs and get into the water. We didn’t want to leave her on her own, so I paid for two of us to use the nearer pool, while the others had to go to the public pool farther away. That didn’t feel like family time. I know they have rules, but the rooms aren’t cheap, and I don’t understand why the closer pool isn’t included on the final day. Our room was another issue. If the air conditioning works, the rooms are pretty nice. Ours didn’t cool down, though, and we spent half a day trying to get a different room. The technicians said it was working because a little cool air came out, and told us to wait for the room to cool. I wasn’t expecting 18 degrees, but below 28 would’ve been nice. We were there during hot weather, around 30-33 degrees, and my 90-year-old grandmother needs a cool place to rest during the day. They also blamed us for leaving the window open, but we only did that because the AC wasn’t working and we needed some air. It’d be nice if rooms were cooled ahead of time on days over 30 degrees. There was quite a lot of smoking outside the restaurant. There’s no designated smoking spot, so people use the whole area, even beside the doors, which are always open. The smell gets inside. I’m sounding pretty unhappy, and maybe that’s because I’d just paid €28 so an older woman could use the stairs to get into a pool. The place isn’t that bad if these things don’t bother you, but I’d keep them in mind when booking.

Really deserves the five stars. The place was spotless everywhere, even with lots of children around, and the food was great, with plenty of vegetarian choices. They even served fresh, soft avocado at breakfast. Staff were friendly and quick to help, and the setup for little kids is very thoughtful, including a well-equipped playroom. There are electric outlets for charging your car in the underground parking garage. Great work, thank you.

The Reiters Resort Allegria Hotel Stegersbach was a lovely place for a family holiday. The kids had fun in the clean, well-kept Therme, while the adults could unwind in the saunas and hot tubs. Our family room was roomy and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We also really enjoyed the generous meals and local cuisine. The local wine was good too, though the drink selection may feel limited if you want more choice. With the nice rooms, great food, and relaxing Therme, we had a memorable stay. I’d recommend the Reiters Resort Allegria Hotel to families visiting Stegersbach.

There’s lots of room here, plus a gym, wellness facilities, a quiet relaxation area, and a little cinema for kids. The range of meals is amazing, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. A relaxing place to spend some time, and golf fans should put it on their list.
