Everything was very clean, and the hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It's a spacious holiday apartment, really well equipped and in a prime spot, with the lake and town center an easy walk away. We felt right at home and would love to return.

The room itself was in poor shape. The bin still had previous guests' rubbish, including leftover vegetables, and the smell in the room was strong. The towels didn't seem fresh, and there wasn't even soap among the basic hygiene items. We arrived as guests but left feeling used, helpless, and completely disappointed. Coming in late at night left us with no real chance to find somewhere else to stay. The owner spoke to us aggressively, rudely, and condescendingly. We were even told, "Why go to Austria if you have no money?", which was insulting and unacceptable. We had booked through Booking.com for €42 a night for two people. When we arrived, around 9pm, the owner said we had to pay €127 or find somewhere else. We were persistently pressured to cancel the booking, then effectively put out on the street and told to accept the much higher price or have nowhere to sleep. In the end, we had to negotiate and pay €80, almost twice the original booking price. The amount wasn't even what upset us most, it was the feeling that we'd been deceived. It seemed like guests were drawn in with a low price, only to be asked for much more once they arrived. After checking in, I looked at the property's availability on Booking.com. From my account, I couldn't book this room for the coming months, but when I checked from another account, there were available dates at prices very similar to our original reservation. That made me seriously doubt the owner's honesty and left me wondering if this could happen to other guests too. It's especially disappointing that this happened through Booking.com, a platform we trusted. We expect the price shown when booking to be honored and guests to be protected from situations like this. Instead, the experience left us feeling deceived and insecure, as if we'd been taken advantage of because we had no practical way to find other accommodation so late at night.

We felt completely at home in the accommodation. It was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, and the hostess was friendly and helpful. Everything was just right. We'd happily come back and highly recommend it.
