Bauernhof Eggerhof

We made good use of the kitchen and all its dishes and equipment, and after a day out it was a relaxing place to come back to. The owners also gave us Wolfgangsee Cards as soon as we arrived, which meant free public transport and discounts for attractions around the lake. A thoughtful, useful gesture. The guesthouse is in a beautiful area with amazing views. Our room and bathroom were clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the hosts were incredibly kind and always willing to help. We were very happy with our stay, recommend the place wholeheartedly, and would love to return.

The place was very clean, and apart from one frustrating issue, everything was great. Their booking system apparently had a problem, so they couldn't give us the guest public transport ticket. I understand they weren't necessarily responsible for that, but I didn't feel they tried very hard to sort it out quickly or find another option. We had no car, so this cost us quite a bit extra over our five-day stay. The owners were partly aware of the expense but didn't seem particularly concerned. Even so, I would recommend the place aside from this problem and what felt like a lackluster response.

Our children loved the place. There's plenty for them to play on, plus equipment, and a cozy campfire in the evening. Hiking trails start right at the farm, which sits on a small hill and feels a bit like an alpine meadow. Rosemarie and Ruppert are always happy to stop for a chat.

Our kids had a blast here, especially at the great ski area up on the mountain pasture, which is designed for children. The host was super nice and even lent them sleds for free. It’s a great farm and place to stay, and we’d love to come back.
