Bauernhof Illighof

The host family were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was plentiful and good. It's a quiet farm with plenty of room for children to play, and the beach is just a three-minute walk away. A good fit for families wanting a farm holiday. The rooms are okay.

The lady running the farm was really nice, and the place had a warm, family feel. Our room was clean, though it could do with a more modern look. At €90 with breakfast, it felt too expensive, which is why I'm giving it three stars.

Booking several rooms for our wedding guests went smoothly. The response was quick and very friendly. But once we were there, we were repeatedly reminded that, by booking just two nights, we had kept out regular guests, and that bookings made a year ahead for only two nights wouldn't be accepted again. It was uncomfortable to keep hearing that the landlady would rather have other guests. We could have become regulars, which is a real shame, but unfortunately that won't happen. Our experience with her was very mixed.

We liked the beautiful view, clean rooms, and good breakfast. It's a cozy farm, with rooms furnished in the typical local style, and the landlady was friendly. Finding the entrance is tricky because it's quite hidden, but we'd like to return.
