The food was the highlight for us: homemade, authentic, and clearly high quality, with a breakfast where every detail seemed considered. We also found the rooms clean, comfortable, and perfectly adequate, and the whole place had a warm, homey feel. The service was so friendly and helpful. We picked it because it was conveniently placed for both Hallstatt and Salzburg, and the setting was beautiful. Thanks for a great stay, we'd recommend it 10/10 if you're in the area.

We left without staying after a server spoke to us with a horrendous attitude on New Year's Day. She said she was the only server and had only two hands and two legs to serve us. The way she said it made it sound like she had four legs. If the restaurant is understaffed and not ready to operate, it shouldn't open. I also agree with an earlier reviewer that the whole restaurant smells like an ashtray.

We had a five-star lunch here, with a lovely atmosphere and beautiful scenery around us. The hosts greeted us with a smile and were friendly. There's a varied menu, including plenty of choices and offers for children. It's a relaxing spot for a meal, or just to enjoy a wonderful Austrian beer.

The bike shed was very handy, and the service was great. It's a good family-run hotel, with a big, modern, very clean room and good breakfasts. Nothing to complain about.
