Pension Bergheim-PS

We had a wonderful stay and felt incredibly comfortable at the guesthouse. Breakfast was very good, and dinner was excellent. René is a Michelin-starred chef. We'd love to come back. Thank you, René and Yasmin!

We spent a long weekend at the "Bergheim" and would love to return often. The young couple were lovely: the chef cooked creative, very good meals, and his wife looked after service in a friendly, attentive way. At breakfast, you can choose from three dinner menus: meat, fish, or vegetarian. The place is quiet and makes a good starting point for hikes. The rooms and dining area were very clean and tastefully furnished. We hope the couple keeps running it for many years.

For my cross-country skiing holiday, Room 10 was nearly ideal, with the trails only about 100 meters away. It was just right for a solo traveler. The owners were consistently friendly and helpful, which made the holiday thoroughly enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied, with something for everyone. Half-board dinner was superb, both in presentation and taste. There was always a choice of starter, main course, and dessert in the three-course menu, plus a very good salad buffet.

We've now stayed at Hotel Bergheim in Schmieden twice, and both visits were thoroughly enjoyable. The owners are so welcoming and create a family atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away. The rooms are clean, nicely furnished, and have everything needed for a relaxing holiday. Breakfast is a highlight, fresh and varied, and presented with care. The owner cooks dinner himself, and every dish was a treat. It's a lovely choice if you enjoy peace, hospitality, and good food. We'll definitely be back!
